Chesterton Trojans (Chesterton, IN) backers exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Portage Indians (Portage, IN), 8-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Chesterton advances its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Valparaiso (Valparaiso, IN) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league test on Tuesday, October 7. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 11-2. Valparaiso won 3-2 in their recent league bout against Lake Central (St. John, IN)

With the loss, Portage moves to 5-10 on the year.
