In Thursday's non-league game, the Mercer Island Islanders (Mercer Island, WA) football team triumphed over the visiting Renton Red Hawks (Renton, WA), by a tally of 70-0.

In their next game, the Islanders battle the Inglemoor Vikings (Kenmore, WA) in a 3A KingCo game, on Saturday, October 19. Mercer Island will attempt to better on its 6-0 season record. The Vikings enter the game with a 2-4 record after their 43-22 non-league loss to Newport - Bellevue (Bellevue, WA).
