Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) and the host St. Joseph Central Irish (Huntington, WV), saw Ripley's soccer squad hold off St. Joseph Central by a count of 1-0.

The Vikings (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against Hoover (Clendenin, WV). The Huskies enter the Freelance battle with a 9-4 record. In their last battle, Hoover was edged by Sissonville (Charleston, WV), 1-0, in a league battle.
