North Carolina High School Football - White Oak thwarted by West Carteret
October 10, 2024: Morehead City, NC 28557 West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting White Oak Vikings (Jacksonville, NC), 34-20 in a non-league battle.
With the win, West Carteret advances its record to 4-2 on the season. The Patriots travel to Richlands (Richlands, NC) to play the Wildcats in a non-league battle on Thursday, October 17. The Wildcats go into the battle with a record of 4-3. Richlands lost 13-10 in their recent non-league battle against Croatan (Newport, NC)
The Vikings now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Dixon for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 17. White Oak will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 30-14 non-league loss to Swansboro (Swansboro, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-4.
