In Friday's league match, the visiting Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Eagles football squad scored a good 28-14 victory over the Harlingen South Hawks.

The Eagles (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Donna (Donna, TX). The Redskins come into the 5A-1 Region IV District 15 match with a 2-5 record. In their last match, Donna was beaten by Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North (Pharr, TX), 38-0, in a league match.

Next up, the Hawks play the Donna Redskins (Donna, TX) in a 5A-1 Region IV District 15 battle, on Friday, October 24. Harlingen South will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record.
