The Cross County Cougars football squad (Stromsburg, NE), was trounced 52-14 in Friday's league contest with the visiting Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders (Grand Island, NE)

The Crusaders (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Boone Central (Albion, NE). The Cardinals enter the C2 District 4 contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Boone Central crushed St. Paul (St. Paul, NE), 34-21, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Cougars battle the Ord Chanticleers (Ord, NE) in a C2 District 4 contest, on Friday, October 17. Cross County will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Chanticleers go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 63-7 league win over Centura (Cairo, NE).
