Georgia High School Football - Screven County tops Metter

October 10, 2025: Sylvania, GA 30467

The Screven County Gamecocks football squad scored 27 points and limited the visiting Metter Tigers to 7 in the Gamecocks league triumph on Friday.

The Gamecocks now hold a 7-0 record. They take the field next when they host Savannah for a A D2 Region 3 test on Friday, October 17. Screven County will face a Bluejackets team coming off a 19-6 league win over Claxton (Claxton, GA). The Bluejackets record now stands at 1-5.

The Tigers (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against McIntosh County Academy (Darien, GA). The Buccaneers go into the A D2 Region 3 challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, McIntosh County Academy toppled Bryan County (Pembroke, GA), 7-0, in a league challenge.
