Springs Valley Blackhawks (French Lick, IN) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Perry Central Commodores (Leopold, IN), 53-6 in a league battle.

With the win, Springs Valley advances its record to 8-0 on the season. The Blackhawks travel to North Daviess (Elnora, IN) to confront the Cougars in a non-league match on Friday, October 17. The Cougars come into the match with a record of 8-0. North Daviess won 36-20 in their recent league match against North Knox (Bicknell, IN)

Coming up next, the Commodores confront the Mitchell Bluejackets (Mitchell, IN) in a Patoka Lake match, on Friday, October 17. Perry Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Bluejackets come into the match with a 0-8 record after their 57-6 league loss to Paoli (Paoli, IN).
