The Corinth Holders Pirates got by the visiting Fuquay - Varina Bengals football team by a score of 22-21 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Pirates face the Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) in a Greater Neuse River 4A challenge, on Friday, October 18. Corinth Holders will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Comets go into the challenge with a 7-0 record after their 40-6 league win over South Garner (Garner, NC).

The Bengals (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Garner (Garner, NC). The Trojans go into the Greater Neuse River 4A challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Garner nipped Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC), 19-14, in a league challenge.
