The Howard Eagles edged the host Halifax Academy Vikings football team by a score of 50-49 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Kenston Forest Kavaliers (Blackstone, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 17. Howard will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Kavaliers enter the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 54-34 league loss to Brunswick Academy (Lawrenceville, VA).
