The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC) and the visiting North Stanly Comets (New London, NC), witnessed Lake Norman Charter's football squad knock off North Stanly by a tally of 22-10.

The Knights (6-0) will now prepare for their contest against Union Academy (Monroe, NC). The Cardinals enter the 1A/2A Yadkin Valley contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Union Academy was toppled by Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC), 43-21, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Comets battle the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC) in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley contest, on Friday, October 18. North Stanly will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls enter the contest with a 4-2 record after their 26-20 league win over Albemarle (Albemarle, NC).
