Texas High School Football - Pace tops Porter

October 11, 2024: Brownsville, TX 78520

The Pace Vikings football squad scored 47 points and limited the visiting Porter Cowboys to 19 in the Vikings league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now hold a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest for a 5A-2 Region IV District 16 test on Friday, October 18. Pace will meet a Javelinas squad coming off a 41-14 league loss to Lopez (Brownsville, TX). The Javelinas record now stands at 1-5.

With the defeat, Porter drops to 0-6 on the campaign. The Cowboys host Edcouch-Elsa (Edcouch, TX) to meet the Yellowjackets in a 5A-2 Region IV District 16 test on Saturday, October 19. The Yellowjackets come into the test with a record of 4-2. Edcouch-Elsa won 21-7 in their recent league test against Mercedes (Mercedes, TX)
