The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Springfield Tigers (New Middletown, OH) and the host McDonald Blue Devils (McDonald, OH), observed Springfield's football squad defeat McDonald by a count of 28-7.

The Tigers now own a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Lowellville for a Mahoning Valley - Scarlet contest on Friday, October 20. Springfield will encounter a Rockets squad coming off a 40-8 league win over Waterloo (Atwater, OH). The Rockets record now stands at 8-1.
