The Desert Oasis Diamondbacks (Las Vegas, NV) football routed the host Cheyenne Desert Shields (North Las Vegas, NV), 38-6 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Diamondbacks face the Silverado Skyhawks (Las Vegas, NV) in a 4A Desert bout, on Friday, October 21. Desert Oasis will attempt to advance on its 4-4 season record. The Skyhawks enter the bout with a 8-0 record after their 63-0 league win over Sunrise Mountain (Las Vegas, NV).

The Desert Shields (3-6) will now prepare for their bout against Chaparral (Las Vegas, NV). The Cowboys enter the 4A Desert bout with a 1-8 record. In their last bout, Chaparral was overwhelmed by Cimarron-Memorial (Las Vegas, NV), 41-6, in a league bout.
