The Smyrna Eagles football squad scored 42 points and restricted the visiting Mergenthaler Vo-Tech Mustangs to 20 in the Eagles non-league victory on Friday.

The Eagles now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dover for a 3A District 2 battle on Friday, October 21. Smyrna will play a Senators squad coming off a 21-0 league loss to Sussex Central (Georgetown, DE). The Senators record now stands at 5-2.
