Memorial Mustangs (Houston, TX) supporters left the game in high spirits Friday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Stratford Spartans (Houston, TX), 3-0 in a league match.

Next up, the Mustangs battle the Independence Knights (Frisco, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 15. Memorial will attempt to better on its 23-16 season record. The Knights go into the contest with a 22-11 record after their 3-1 league loss to Reedy (Frisco, TX).

With the loss, Stratford moves to 19-22 on the year. The Spartans host Cypress Creek (Houston, TX) to face the Cougars in a 6A Region III District 17 contest on Tuesday, October 19. The Cougars go into the contest with a record of 18-20. Cypress Creek won 3-0 in their recent league contest against Spring Woods (Houston, TX)
