The Piedmont Panthers volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Union Academy Cardinals to 0 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Panthers (9-12) will now prepare for their battle against Sun Valley (Monroe, NC). The Spartans come into the Southern Carolina 3A battle with a 21-3 record. In their last battle, Sun Valley went down by Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.
