The Sherman Bearcats football team (Sherman, TX), was beaten 24-14 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host McKinney Lions (McKinney, TX)

The Lions (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Guyer (Denton, TX). The Wildcats come into the 6A Region I District 5 challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Guyer knocked off Lake Ridge (Mansfield, TX), 56-20, in a non-league challenge.

The Bearcats now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Wylie East for a 5A-1 Region II District 7 challenge on Friday, October 23. Sherman will meet a Raiders team coming off a 42-18 non-league win over Nimitz (Irving, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 1-1.
