The Thornton Trojans football team (Thornton, CO), was crushed 63-13 in Thursday's league contest with the visiting Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks (Colorado Springs, CO)

The Red-Tailed Hawks (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Grand Junction (Grand Junction, CO). The Tigers enter the 4A I-25 contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Grand Junction crushed Centaurus (Lafayette, CO), 31-14, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Trojans confront the Gateway Olympians (Aurora, CO) in a 4A I-25 battle, on Thursday, October 23. Thornton will attempt to advance on its 0-8 season record. The Olympians go into the battle with a 2-6 record after their 48-6 league loss to Sand Creek (Colorado Springs, CO).
