Arizona High School Football - La Joya Community edged by Sierra Linda

The Sierra Linda Bulldogs got by the host La Joya Community Fighting Lobos football team by a score of 28-24 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the Gila Ridge Hawks (Yuma, AZ) in a non-league test, on Friday, October 24. Sierra Linda will attempt to move on its 7-1 season record. The Hawks come into the test with a 7-1 record after their 79-0 league win over Somerton (Somerton, AZ).

With the defeat, La Joya Community drops to 2-6 on the campaign. The Fighting lobos travel to Agua Fria (Avondale, AZ) to face the Owls in a 4A Southwest challenge on Friday, October 24. The Owls enter the challenge with a record of 3-5. Agua Fria won 41-20 in their recent league challenge against Westview (Avondale, AZ)
