Colorado High School Football - Canon City sneaks past Coronado

October 17, 2025: Colorado Springs, CO 80904

The Canon City Tigers football squad scored 21 points and limited the host Coronado Cougars to 20 in the Tigers league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Pueblo East for a 3A Southern test on Friday, October 24. Canon City will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 62-0 league win over Pueblo Central (Pueblo, CO). The Eagles record now stands at 4-3.

With the defeat, Coronado drops to 4-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Sierra (Colorado Springs, CO) to meet the Stallions in a 3A Southern test on Friday, October 24. The Stallions come into the test with a record of 1-6. Sierra lost 41-0 in their recent league test against Pueblo County (Pueblo, CO)
