In Friday's league match, the host Xaverian Brothers Hawks football squad scored a close 25-22 triumph over the Catholic Memorial Knights.

The Hawks (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Boston College High (Boston, MA). The Eagles go into the Catholic battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Boston College High nipped Malden Catholic (Malden, MA), 39-38, in a league battle.

The Knights now have a 5-1 record. They play next when they host St. John's for a Catholic battle on Friday, October 24. Catholic Memorial will play a Pioneers squad coming off a 53-19 league loss to St. John's Prep (Danvers, MA). The Pioneers record now stands at 3-3.
