Florida High School Football - Charlotte drops to Port Charlotte

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Port Charlotte Pirates football squad scored a good 35-7 win over the Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons.

With the win, Port Charlotte improves its record to 7-1 on the season. The Pirates host Naples (Naples, FL) to play the Golden Eagles in a 4A District 12 battle on Friday, October 24. The Golden Eagles go into the battle with a record of 6-2. Naples won 38-24 in their recent non-league battle against Lely (Naples, FL)

The Fightin' Tarpons now have a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host McLaughlin for a non-league match on Friday, October 24. Charlotte will meet a Phoenix squad coming off a 55-0 non-league loss to Windermere (Windermere, FL). The Phoenix record now stands at 2-6.
