Nevada High School Football - Churchill County can't hold off Elko

October 17, 2025: Elko, NV 89801

Elko Indians (Elko, NV) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Churchill County Greenwave (Fallon, NV), 31-28 in a league battle.

With the win, Elko advances its record to 7-1 on the season. The Indians host Spring Creek (Spring Creek, NV) to play the Spartans in a 3A Northern battle on Friday, October 24. The Spartans go into the battle with a record of 6-3. Spring Creek won 55-22 in their recent league match against South Tahoe (South Lake Tahoe, CA)

Coming up next, the Greenwave confront the Lowry Buckaroos (Winnemucca, NV) in a 3A Northern match, on Friday, October 24. Churchill County will attempt to upgrade on its 8-1 season record. The Buckaroos come into the match with a 4-5 record after their 47-0 league loss to Fernley (Fernley, NV).
