The Clay Blue Devils (Green Cove Springs, FL) football tipped the visiting Fernandina Beach Pirates (Fernandina Beach, FL), 35-34 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Blue Devils now sport a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Columbia for a 4A District 3 outing on Friday, October 24. Clay will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 44-0 league win over Ridgeview (Orange Park, FL). The Tigers record now stands at 7-1.

With the defeat, Fernandina Beach drops to 5-4 on the campaign. The Pirates host Impact Christian Academy (Jacksonville, FL) to battle the Lions in a non-league game on Friday, October 24. The Lions enter the game with a record of 5-3. Impact Christian Academy won 56-20 in their recent non-league game against Ridgeview (Orange Park, FL)
