The crowd at Friday's league contest between the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA) and the host Metter Tigers (Metter, GA), witnessed McIntosh County Academy's football squad knock off Metter by a tally of 18-8.

The Buccaneers (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Savannah (Savannah, GA). The Bluejackets enter the A D2 Region 3 contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Savannah dropped by Screven County (Sylvania, GA), 40-6, in a league bout.

The Tigers now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Jenkins County for a A D2 Region 3 bout on Friday, October 24. Metter will encounter a War Eagles team coming off a 35-14 league loss to Bryan County (Pembroke, GA). The War Eagles record now stands at 4-4.
