In Friday's non-league game, the Memphis University School Owls (Memphis, TN) football team were victorious over the visiting Memphis Central Warriors (Memphis, TN), by a tally of 49-34.

In their next game, the Owls face the Christian Brothers Purple Wave (Memphis, TN) in a Division II-AAA West game, on Friday, October 24. Memphis University School will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Purple Wave come into the outing with a 3-5 record after their 27-24 league loss to Lipscomb Academy (Nashville, TN).

With the defeat, Memphis Central drops to 6-2 on the campaign. The Warriors host Kingsbury (Memphis, TN) to clash with the Falcons in a 5A Region 8 outing on Friday, October 24. The Falcons come into the outing with a record of 1-7. Kingsbury lost 40-6 in their recent league outing against Overton (Memphis, TN)
