October 17, 2025: Shady Spring, WV 25918 The Winfield Generals football squad scored 39 points and limited the host Shady Spring Tigers to 13 in the Generals non-league triumph on Friday.
The Generals now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nitro for a Cardinal game on Friday, October 24. Winfield will face a Wildcats team coming off a 64-0 league win over Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-1.
The Tigers (2-4) will now prepare for their game against Berkeley Springs (Berkeley Springs, WV). The Indians enter the non-league game with a 2-5 record. In their last outing, Berkeley Springs was defeated by Hampshire (Romney, WV), 46-28, in a league outing.
