Louisiana High School Football - Slidell can't hold off Hammond
October 2, 2025: Slidell, LA 70458 Hammond Tornadoes (Hammond, LA) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they observed their football squad nudge the host Slidell Tigers (Slidell, LA), 35-28 in a non-league match.
The Tornadoes (4-1) will now prepare for their test against St. Paul's (Covington, LA). The Wolves come into the 5A District 6 test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, St. Paul's was nipped by University Lab (Baton Rouge, LA), 36-25, in a non-league test.
With the defeat, Slidell drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Fontainebleau (Mandeville, LA) to face the Bulldogs in a 5A District 7 challenge on Friday, October 10. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Fontainebleau lost 28-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Covington (Covington, LA)
