October 21, 2021: Hampstead, NC 28443 In Thursday's league game, the Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) football team knocked off the host Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC), by a final score of 35-12.
The Screaming Eagle (4-3) will now prepare for their game against North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Scorpions come into the game with a 6-2 record. In their last game, North Brunswick toppled South Brunswick (Southport, NC), 14-6, in a league game.
The Pirates now hold a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Laney for a game on Thursday, October 28. Topsail will battle a Buccaneers team coming off a 28-16 league loss to Hoggard (Wilmington, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 8-1.
