In Friday's league game, the Hurricane Redskins (Hurricane, WV) football team smashed the host Riverside Warriors (Belle, WV), by a score of 44-7.

The Redskins (7-1) will now prepare for their game against South Charleston (South Charleston, WV). The Black Eagles come into the Mountain State game with a 1-7 record. In their last game, South Charleston overwhelmed St. Albans (St. Albans, WV), 19-17, in a league game.

The Warriors now sport a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln County for a non-league game on Friday, October 28. Riverside will battle a Panthers team coming off a 38-14 non-league win over Braxton County (Sutton, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 1-7.
