The Smyer Bobcats thwarted the host Morton Indians football team by a count of 24-12 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Smyer upgrades its record to 2-6 on the season. The Bobcats host Seagraves (Seagraves, TX) to encounter the Eagles in a 2A-2 Region I District 4 outing on Friday, October 28. The Eagles enter the bout with a record of 4-5. Seagraves won 28-9 in their recent league bout against Ropes (Ropesville, TX)
