The Swain County Maroon Devils football team (Bryson City, NC), was tipped 28-21 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC)

The Bulldogs (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Andrews (Andrews, NC). The Wildcats come into the 1A West Conference 43 challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Andrews was tipped by Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC), 21-14, in a league challenge.

The Maroon Devils now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Robbinsville for a 1A West Conference 43 challenge on Tuesday, October 26. Swain County will meet a Black Knights team coming off a 21-14 league win over Andrews (Andrews, NC). The Black Knights record now stands at 4-3.
