In Thursday's league match, the visiting Wyatt Chaparrals football squad scored a close 37-31 victory over the Paschal Panthers.

The Chaparrals (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against North Side (Fort Worth, TX). The Steers go into the 5A-1 Region I District 4 battle with a 2-6 record. In their last battle, North Side was tipped by Saginaw (Saginaw, TX), 45-0, in a league battle.

The Panthers now own a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Trimble Tech for a 5A-1 Region I District 4 battle on Friday, October 31. Paschal will confront a Bulldogs squad coming off a 65-0 league loss to Arlington Heights (Fort Worth, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-6.
