Griggs County Central/Midkota Cougars (Cooperstown, ND) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Nelson County co-op [Lakota/Dakota Prairie] (Lakota, ND), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars (12-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Larimore (Larimore, ND). The Polar Bears enter the non-league challenge with a 3-11 record. In their last challenge, Larimore was beaten by Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] (Leeds, ND), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The now own a 3-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland/Munich/Starkweather] for a non-league test on Thursday, October 30. Nelson County co-op [Lakota/Dakota Prairie] will face a Bearcats squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Westhope/Newburg (Westhope, ND). The Bearcats record now stands at 5-7.
