In Saturday's league battle, the visiting Narragansett Mariners football team scored a tight 21-20 win over the Scituate Spartans.

With the win, Narragansett advances its record to 5-2 on the season. The Mariners host Smithfield (Esmond, RI) to play the Sentinels in a Division IV battle on Friday, October 31. The Sentinels go into the battle with a record of 5-2. Smithfield won 16-6 in their recent league match against Exeter-West Greenwich/Prout (West Greenwich, RI)

Coming up next, the Spartans meet the Hope Blue Wave (Providence, RI) in a Division IV match, on Saturday, November 1. Scituate will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Blue Wave come into the match with a 2-6 record after their 48-6 league loss to North Smithfield (North Smithfield, RI).
