October 28, 2022: Hiawassee, GA 30546

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Washington-Wilkes Tigers (Washington, GA) and the host Towns County Indians (Hiawassee, GA), observed Washington-Wilkes's football squad defeat Towns County by a count of 29-6.

The Tigers now own a 7-2 record. They play next when they host Greene County for a A D2 Region 8A outing on Friday, November 4. Washington-Wilkes will confront a Tigers team coming off a 28-27 league loss to Aquinas (Augusta, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Towns County moves to 3-6 on the season. The Indians travel to Lincoln County (Lincolnton, GA) to confront the Red Devils in a A D2 Region 8B outing on Friday, November 4. The Red Devils go into the outing with a record of 7-2. Lincoln County won 35-0 in their recent league outing against Warren County (Warrenton, GA)
