The Staples-Motley Cardinals got by the host Barnesville Trojans football team by a score of 20-16 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals face the Pillager Huskies (Pillager, MN) in a Mid Northwest - North challenge, on Friday, October 10. Staples-Motley will attempt to improve on its 6-0 season record. The Huskies come into the test with a 6-0 record after their 41-13 league win over Perham (Perham, MN).
