North Carolina High School Football - First Flight overwhelmed by Martin County

The Martin County Gators walloped the host First Flight Nighthawks football team by a score of 63-0 in Friday's league outing.

The Gators now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pasquotank County for a Northeastern Coastal 3A/4A/5A outing on Friday, October 10. Martin County will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 26-25 league loss to Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 5-1.

With the defeat, First Flight drops to 1-5 on the year. The Nighthawks travel to Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC) to face the Eagles in a Northeastern Coastal 3A/4A/5A game on Friday, October 10. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 4-2. Northeastern lost 28-7 in their recent league game against Currituck County (Barco, NC)
