October 3, 2025: Montezuma, IA 50171 Melcher-Dallas Saints (Melcher, IA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Montezuma Braves (Montezuma, IA), 72-16 in a league match.
The Saints (2-4) will now prepare for their match against Wayne (Corydon, IA). The Falcons come into the 8-Man District 7 (8 Man) match with a 4-2 record. In their last match, Wayne routed Twin Cedars (Bussey, IA), 70-12, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Braves meet the Twin Cedars Sabers (Bussey, IA) in a 8-Man District 7 (8 Man) challenge, on Friday, October 10. Montezuma will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Sabers go into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 70-12 league loss to Wayne (Corydon, IA).
