In Friday's non-league game, the Neville Tigers (Monroe, LA) football team edged the visiting Sterlington Panthers (Sterlington, LA), by a score of 28-21.

Next, the Tigers clash with the Pineville Rebels (Pineville, LA) in a 5A District 2 outing, on Friday, October 10. Neville will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Rebels come into the outing with a 4-1 record after their 41-40 non-league win over Red River (Coushatta, LA).

With the defeat, Sterlington drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Richwood (Monroe, LA) to clash with the Rams in a 3A District 1 outing on Friday, October 10.
