The Valley Lutheran Flames football team (Phoenix, AZ), was crushed 54-0 in Friday's league bout with the host Salome Frogs (Salome, AZ)

With the win, Salome advances its record to 3-4 on the season. The Frogs travel to Bagdad (Bagdad, AZ) to battle the Sultans in a 1A West (8 Man) contest on Friday, October 10. The Sultans enter the contest with a record of 6-0. Bagdad won 50-0 in their recent league contest against Mohave Accelerated (Bullhead City, AZ)

Coming up next, the Flames battle the Desert Heights Prep Yote (Glendale, AZ) in a 1A West (8 Man) contest, on Friday, October 10. Valley Lutheran will attempt to better on its 0-6 season record. The Yote enter the contest with a 5-2 record after their 68-6 non-league win over Baboquivari (Sells, AZ).
