Pennsylvania High School Football - Scranton thwarted by Wallenpaupack Area
October 3, 2025: Scranton, PA 18508 Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns (Hawley, PA) boosters were content Friday as they observed their football squad thwart the host Scranton Knights (Scranton, PA), 35-7 in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Buckhorns play the Abington Heights Comets (Clarks Summit, PA) in a Lackawanna 1 challenge, on Friday, October 10. Wallenpaupack Area will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Comets go into the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 17-15 league win over Scranton Prep (Scranton, PA).
The Knights (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against North Pocono (Covington Township, PA). The Trojans come into the Lackawanna 1 test with a 7-0 record. In their last test, North Pocono knocked off Valley View (Archbald, PA), 42-10, in a league test.
