Port Neches-Groves Indians (Port Neches, TX) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Montgomery Bears (Montgomery, TX), 46-38 in a league battle.

With the win, Port Neches-Groves improves its record to 9-0 on the season. The Indians host Dayton (Dayton, TX) to meet the Broncos in a 5A-2 Region II District 8 match on Friday, November 7. The Broncos come into the match with a record of 6-3. Dayton won 37-31 in their recent league match against West Fork (Kingwood, TX)

Coming up next, the Bears meet the Nederland Bulldogs (Nederland, TX) in a 5A-2 Region II District 8 match, on Friday, November 7. Montgomery will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 3-6 record after their 35-21 league loss to Huntsville (Huntsville, TX).
