Kansas High School Soccer - Highland Park nudges Maranatha Christian Academy
October 4, 2021: Shawnee, KS 66217 Highland Park Scots (Topeka, KS) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles (Shawnee, KS), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Scots face the Topeka Trojans (Topeka, KS) in a Centennial challenge, on Tuesday, October 5. Highland Park will attempt to better on its 2-8 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Tonganoxie (Tonganoxie, KS).
The Eagles now have a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they host Kansas City Christian School for a Crossroads challenge on Thursday, October 7. Maranatha Christian Academy will face a Panthers team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Barstow (Kansas City, MO). The Panthers record now stands at 7-4.
