The Northwood Chargers held off the host Orange Panthers volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Thursday's league test.

The Chargers now have a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eastern Alamance for a Central 3A test on Tuesday, October 12. Northwood will confront a Eagles team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Person (Roxboro, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 10-10.

The Panthers (7-8) will now prepare for their test against Western Alamance (Elon, NC). The Warriors enter the Central 3A test with a 6-12 record. In their last test, Western Alamance was nudged by Cedar Ridge (Hillsborough, NC), 3-0, in a league test.
