The Anson Bearcats football team (Wadesboro, NC), was beaten 35-14 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC)

The Yellow Jackets (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC). The Colts come into the 2A/3A West Conference 44 challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, West Stanly was beaten by Parkwood (Monroe, NC), 39-28, in a league challenge.

The Bearcats now sport a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Parkwood for a 2A/3A West Conference 44 challenge on Friday, October 21.
