California High School Football - San Mateo nips Hillsdale

October 7, 2022: San Mateo, CA 94401

In Friday's league match, the host San Mateo Bearcats football squad scored a close 27-26 victory over the Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS.

In their next game, the Bearcats clash with the Carlmont Scots (Belmont, CA) in a Peninsula - Ocean match, on Friday, October 14. San Mateo will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Scots enter the match with a 3-3 record after their 46-22 league loss to Terra Nova (Pacifica, CA).

The FIGHTING KNIGHTS (2-4) will now prepare for their match against Jefferson (Daly City, CA). The Grizzlies enter the Peninsula - Ocean match with a 1-5 record. In their last match, Jefferson was nudged by Capuchino (San Bruno, CA), 41-34, in a league match.
