California High School Football - Piedmont sneaks past Berkeley
October 8, 2021: Berkeley, CA 94704 The Piedmont Highlanders (Piedmont, CA) football edged the host Berkeley Yellowjackets (Berkeley, CA), 28-26 in Friday's league bout.
In their next game, the Highlanders face the Encinal Jets (Alameda, CA) in a MVAL/WACC - Mission bout, on Friday, October 15. Piedmont will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Jets enter the bout with a 5-1 record after their 42-13 league win over Kennedy (Fremont, CA).
The Yellowjackets (2-4) will now prepare for their bout against Mt. Eden (Hayward, CA). The Monarchs enter the MVAL/WACC - Mission bout with a 2-4 record. In their last bout, Mt. Eden was nudged by Washington (Fremont, CA), 31-25, in a league bout.
