The Gaston Day Spartans (Gastonia, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC), 89-64 in Friday's non-league test.

The Spartans (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Hickory Christian Academy (Hickory, NC). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Hickory Christian Academy was trounced by Asheville Christian Academy (Swannanoa, NC), 78-60, in a non-league test.

The Patriots now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Highland Tech for a non-league test on Friday, November 17.
